I recently created a comic strip for a project with the BBC and the Cartoon Museum, exploring the events of a particular day in the run- up to WW1.
The day I was given was July 26th, and I made a small comic (small excerpt above) which will accompany a radio broadcast.
The original artwork is currently being displayed at the Cartoon Museum.. Details here.

I was honoured to be asked to design the front cover, and choose the colour palette for the new Nobrow anthology entitled 'It's Oh So Quiet'.

I also contributed a 4 page silent strip about garden statues.

I made this drawing for a letterpress print after spending a very early morning drawing at Hobbs House bakery.
This was commissioned by Nick Hand for Hobbs, and printed by Nick at the Letterpress Collective studio.

In March I visited the Bezalel Acadamy in Jeruselum, where I led a 4 day comic workshop with students from the Visual Communication course. It was a great week with some fantastic work produced. Above is a short video of the workshop..

CONVERSATIONS ON THE HUDSON

Today I visited Nick Hand in his studio to pick up a copy of 'Conversations on the Hudson'
A book by Nick about his journey down the Hudson river, and Craftspeople he met along the way.

I produced a series of tiny vignette illustrations for the book (A small selection above), depicting tools surroundings of the featured craftspeople, which sit alongside Nicks photography.

Its an inspiring little book, featuring transcribed interviews with very interesting people, and is available from Abrams & Chronicle Books
